It's Friday, but Sunday's comin' ...
Thanks to Larry's foresight, I've stayed pretty busy. He had some things he wanted me to get done, such as retrieving lost phone codes and organizing the press contest entries. I also took care a few things I had left on the burner, such as making sure I can access company e-mail while I am away and building the master Newsroom Intranet schedule. The busyness helped move the week along at a good clip.
A number of people stopped me over the past couple of days to give words of support and pledges of prayer. It's good to work in an environment where prayer and faith is spoken of freely. The faith community within Blount County in general and The Daily Times in particular is part of drew me to this newspaper 15 years ago.
Now, I head to Walgreens to pick up my meds, thankful for the insurance and sick time that allow me to attempt the treatment.
I still have lots to keep me busy over the next 36 hours before Sunday morning arrives, which is when I take my first batch of Rebetol.
It's Friday, but Sunday's comin' ...
