The day after Week 24's shot ...
This morning, I was feeling the after-effects of the shot, but just plowed ahead. I didn't realize how noticeable it was until, first, one person asked me in the Newsroom if I was OK, to which I replied, "It's Monday ... Just feeling the side-effects." A couple of hours later, an advertising associate said, "Do you feel OK? You're white as a sheet."
I replied, "No, actually, I do not feel OK. But that's pretty much the way it is on Mondays and Tuesdays."
Still, I really didn't have much choice but to hang in there as long as I could.
By 4 p.m., I had decided that I would leave after the news meeting, but then we started having system problems. Given that one of my duties is the systems liaison for the newsroom, I had to hang out until about 10:45 p.m., when I was fairly sure the press would start on time ... that is, unless the wheels fell off again.
So, now I'm home, and wound down enough to try and go to sleep.
Tuesday's another day ...
Grace and peace.
