A NOBELMAN VISIT TALLINN
Museum of Saaremaa took very old nobleman to tourist information event
"Tourest 2004" (Tour Estonia 2004) from Feb. 27-29. I is the
first time in many years that the "Walled Up Knight" has
been free to travel.
The knight shared informational bulletins about sightseeing and museums
on Saaremaa, Estonia's largest island. On an information table in front of
him you can also find information about how to order medieval feast in
Kuressaare Castle, what is going on during Castle Days on July 9-10, and
where you can find oldest (1803) fine shooting canyon in Estonia.
Shortly by Raul Salumäe,
Meie Maa (Our Land), Newsletter of Saaremaa County, Feb. 27, 2004.
+ The Legend of the Walled up Knight in Kuressaare Castle goes back
many centuries and centers on a forbidden love affair. The brave nobleman
kept his promise to his beloved and was punished.
If so old and bold nobleman can take a 75-mile long trip without losing
any bones, I am sure you can travel to Saaremaa without any problems!
Welcome to Saaremaa!
