For Once, We Had A Camera ...

Of all of the times we've done the "meet an' greet" thing with various Christian artists (including Steven Curtis Chapman several years ago), the April 8 show in Knoxville with SCC, Casting Crowns and Chris Tomlin was a great night of worship. Even Geoff Moore stopped by to do "The Great Adventure" with Steven and we saw him down the hall after the show, but were unable to summon him up to the crowd. I guess he figured this is his bud Steven's night. Steven said Geoff hopped on the tour bus (presumably in Nashville) and spent the day with the bands. At any rate, seeing Geoff again brought back all kinds of memories for my family. As for Steven Curtis, he's as humble as ever.

Part of being a Roaring Lamb in today's media is serving as a conduit for artists seeking to bring their message of God's love to the world. Buzz Trexler takes delight in talking with those who, as Larry Norman might put it, "Rock The Flock." In the column "Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music," Buzz takes issue with those who question the legitimacy of spreading the gospel through contemporary music.

The Rev. Frank "Buzz" Trexler is managing editor at The Daily Times and pastor of Green Meadow United Methodist Church, wwwthemeadow.org. You can e-mail him at PastorBuzz@nxs.net.
