Anyone interested in aerobatics will appreciate the exceptional aerobatic capability of this very attractive Russian airplane.  For a scale R/C model to simulate such remarkable performance a lightweight airframe is absolutely critical. Since it would be extremely difficult to construct a lightweight balsa fuselage having all the compound curves of the SUKHOI, our kit includes a top quality lightweight epoxy fuselage incorporating the internal rib technique used so successfully in our other kits with epoxy fuselages. The kit also features plug-in wings with aluminum alloy wing tube and phenolic sleeves. The foam core wings and stab are balsa sheeted and sanded to a fine finish. The two piece curved landing gear bolts internally for better scale appearance. The cowl vents, which are a very distinctive feature of the SUKHOI, are molded separately in epoxy and attached to the 8" diameter epoxyglass cowl by the builder.  The kit includes a clear Lexan canopy with molded in frame plus an illustrated instruction manual along with all the balsa and ply parts required to complete the model.

Our 1/5th scale airplane is fully aerobatic and an exceptional performer capable of all the IMAC and AMA schedules.
